Groups

A group is a shared streak for three to five people — family, siblings, a crew from work. It keeps going when you all make the day, or when no more than one of you is missing.

Day off

Each day, one of you may take a day off. You can take it in advance (“I’m taking today off”), or the streak uses it automatically when only one person is missing in the evening. When someone takes a day off, the others see it — and nobody has to explain anything. If two people are missing, the streak breaks.

How to start one

1. On the Together tab, choose “Start a group” and pick a name and an emoji.
2. Send the others the code. One code works for the whole group, for a week.
3. The streak starts the day after there are at least three of you.

You can invite someone new to a running group as long as there’s room. A new member counts from tomorrow; today finishes under the old rule.

From pair to group and back

A pair can add a third person. The streak and its best stay, and your buddy can cancel the invite until it’s accepted. If only two people remain in a group, the streak carries on as a pair — and days off end there.

Missed day

What saves the group is your own day repair: when you repair a missed day, it counts for the group too. There’s no separate repair for groups.

What the others see

Your nickname, your color and whether you’re done for today — same as a buddy. Never steps, minutes, times or places.
